TACLOBAN CITY — Two fire incidents broke out in the early hours of Wednesday, Oct. 30, while a power outage left the city in darkness.
The first incident occurred in a densely populated area of Barangay 62-A in the Sagkahan district around 1:29 a.m., followed by a second blaze in the V&G Subdivision at 1:57 a.m., according to Tacloban City Fire Director Chief Inspector Anthony de Paz.

This incident burned 14 homes, originating from the residence of Pio Pagador, who reported losing all his belongings.

The fire incidents happened when a citywide blackout struck at around 11 p.m..
