TACLOBAN CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Southern Leyte on Wednesday, Oct. 30, rescued a fisherman who had been adrift for two days after his motorized banca encountered engine failure off the coast of Maasin City.
The fisherman, identified as Renante Cadorna, 41, and a resident of Bohol, had been reported missing for two days.

The PCG Southern Leyte received a distress radio message from the vessel LCT Jose Fe 1 reporting that it was towing a motorized banca with Cadorna on board.
